The best service in the industry – every time!
To deliver the best possible customer service and provide great employment opportunities to our staff, we exceed a range of standards that help make GB Access a trusted partner and place to work.
In order to deliver the best possible service with minimum disruption to our customers, we have a planned schedule of continued training and appraisal of our staff.
The emphasis on this is for our staff to gain external accreditation (CPCS, CSCS, NEBOSH, IEMS, SSSTS etc.) as a reliable indication of their competence within the business area they work in.
Training takes place to cover the areas of equipment knowledge, Health and Safety, Quality and the Environment. The benefits of this initiative are available to all team members.
Management site visits ensure that the standards we achieve exceed our customers’ requirements and place us at the forefront of this specialised industry.
The environment is important to us all from both a business and personal perspective.
GB Access services and maintains its rental fleet to be available for the next hire – the ultimate in recycling!
We have an active policy to reduce our carbon footprint by minimising vehicle miles travelled, the purchase of fuel efficient replacement vehicles and the installation of hoists with lower power consumption where possible.
Replacement timber panels, used in maintaining lift and hoist floors, are sourced from FSC sustainable stocks.
We operate an Environmental Management System which is being upgraded for recognition to ISO 14001 standards.
The quality of the equipment we supply and services offered are the mainstay in keeping our customers satisfied and returning to us. The volume of repeat business is a testament to our team’s commitment, expertise and the recognised standards we aim to exceed.
GB Access has a strict quality plan in place, which is externally audited by independent bodies and construction assessment organisations. However, we understand that the business community does not stand still, so we continue to monitor our performance, introducing new systems and procedures to continually improve our efficiency on a daily basis.
Document procedures are in place to record our improvements and highlight any areas of the business that may require monitoring or improvement.
Health and Safety
The Health and Safety of our employees, customers and the general public are of paramount importance to us. We welcome the improvements being made within the construction industry and are pleased to play our part in this.
All field staff are trained to a minimum of CCNSG Passport to Safety and CPCS / CSCS standards. This training is updated and refreshed on a regular basis according to changes in our needs, customers' needs and perceptions, along with increasingly tough legislation and regulatory requirements.
The GB Access management team regularly reviews our Health and Safety procedures, which are amended and documented accordingly. Within our team we have competent people, trained and qualified to act as Appointed Persons (Lifting Operations), produce risk assessments and method statements for all in house and site activities, carry out COSHH Assessments and provide internal and customer training.
Our management system is routinely audited and accepted by independent bodies.
